Build a strong foundation in our Beginner/Intermediate Competitive Program. Dancers will develop confidence, control, and clarity through focused training, high-energy choreography, and intentional skill progression.

Guided by our award-winning educators, dancers are challenged to refine their movement quality, musicality, and performance presence — laying the groundwork to grow into versatile, high-level movers.

Accelerate your growth in our Advanced/Professional Competitive Program. Designed for dedicated dancers, this program emphasizes refined technique, dynamic performance quality, and the ability to execute intricate, high-level choreography with precision and intent.

Under the direction of our award-winning faculty, dancers are pushed to expand their range, elevate their artistry, and train as versatile, high-calibre movers. This program is built for those committed to excellence and ready to perform at a competitive and professional standard.

Each season, dancers will also have the opportunity to train and compete beyond our home base, with one competition held in a major North American city — with recent destinations including Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Chicago — offering valuable industry exposure and real-world performance experience.

FAQ

  • Our competitive programs (Beg - Adv) will do 3-5 competitions a year. At least two in Edmonton and a couple in in Calgary.

    Our Adv/Pro program will typically do 4-5 competitions a year, one of which is a convention.

  • Yes there are additional competition fees such as competition registration fees, costume fees and travel fees associated with out of town competitions. This Fee Information can be requested at info@universesouldance.com.

  • There are auditions in June and typically August/September where our faculty will place students in the appropriate competitive level. Some students join us with several years of experience and some are brand new! It depends on the dancer.
